I'm renewing my membership with DASH for HealthTM because it works. The DASH diet is without a doubt the best diet for people (like me) who have high blood pressure. I suggest it to all my patients who have high blood pressure, and even many of those who don't. The DASH for HealthTM website has practical suggestions for how to fit this diet into your busy life. This is not a passing fad, but the real thing. I also find the "Your Stuff" monitoring features helpful for keeping track of where I have been. It is rewarding to refer to the graphs to monitor my progress.

I would like to thank all of you for your efforts with the DASH for HealthTM program. When I started this program I was 185 lbs. My blood pressure was 140/90. My doctor informed me that this was borderline high. I began this program not knowing what results I would get, but I was committed to change my eating habits to improve my health. Well I have to admit, I was impressed. About a month into the program I had lost about 10lbs. and my blood pressure had dropped on both sides almost 10 points. I have been able to maintain this with little effort. I think the most important thing is that this program is something I can live with and have passed on to my children and family. I have developed and adopted a new happy and healthier life.
On the first of last year I decided I would like to lose weight, but didn't get serious about it until March. I have been using DASH for HealthTM since 2002. I am constantly battling weight loss. I appreciate the health approach and hints. I have sent some of them to my friends also trying to lose weight. I even try the recipes when I get tired of the same food.

The main reason I stuck with DASH for HealthTM was my weight loss battle is not complete and it is a healthy and balanced approach. The walking program really got me to start moving. I even counted my steps daily during my Spring vacation. Now I joined a gym and exercise regularly.
I have recently joined DASH for HealthTM and am finding it to be very useful in terms of paying attention to what I eat. I particularly like the approach of trying to change one small habit at a time - I'm still struggling trying to eat 1 piece of fruit per day, but it is beginning to happen more and more frequently. The first thing I did when I started DASH for HealthTM was focus on eating smaller portion sizes and more vegetables. It was a nice, slow way to start, but still I saw results pretty quickly. I also started an exercise program, which I think helped the weight come off a lot faster. I think recording meals and entering them on the site is a huge help to changing behavior – it helped me see exactly where I needed to change, and during the day, knowing I would have to enter what I was eating kept me on track. The weight felt like it came off really quickly and easily, with some pretty simple changes. Thanks DASH for HealthTM!
First of all, I'd like to thank you! I've really enjoyed participating in the DASH for HealthTM program. I'm not really overweight, and so I never wanted to diet. But, I knew my meals weren't always the healthiest. I never realized how strong the correlation between eating healthy and feeling healthy really was....I didn't think it would be so easy!!! I feel great and I think eating more balanced meals has helped to curb my sweet tooth. Thank you!
